Bathing light over all
Earth infused with warmth
Gulping and absorbing life
Entering and dispelling the chill
Deep draughts of hope

First signs of summer
Spring bursting beauty
Rich dark soil buds
Bulbs breaking through
Trees blooming blossom

New anticipation fills
Body sensing what comes
Beyond present tockens
Future rich and fuller
Rising joy and laughter stirring

Resurrection calls us
Flames of fire purifying
Lifting humanity to heights
Tasting His gift offering
Summer met and winter dispelled

Shimmers of light
Irradiate the cold
Firing the steely sky
With warmth and hope

Defying barreness
Calling out with hope

Through the winter haze
